Leeds joins premier league

Conference bookers have already reserved more than 20,000 nights accommodation at Leeds University’s new campus building, Storm Jameson Court, when it opens to delegates from June 2011.

The 459 bedrooms are all en-suite with telephone, data access points, an IPTV facility and safe. The building also has 24 hour reception service, and a range of communal areas.

“We’re delighted with the amount of interest that Storm Jameson Court has received from conference organisers,” Richard Handscombe, head of sales and marketing for conferencing, events and accommodation, said. “It helps to move us into the premier division of UK conference venues and is set to rival anything in British higher education.”
