World Cup pitch

Stoke Park will provide hotel, conference and golf facilities for the England 2018 World Cup bid.

“[We] have a long relationship with the FA and I look forward to actively supporting England 2018 and working with the bid team next year,” Chester King, managing director of the resort, said.

England is one of eight competitors bidding to host the 2018 tournament and one of 10 bidding for 2022. The decision for both tournaments will be announced in Zurich in December.

“Stoke Park’s outstanding facilities will be a valuable resource for the England 2018 World Cup Bid,” Jonathan Gregory, director of partnerships for England 2018, said. “We look forward to a productive relationship with them over the course of the campaign.”
