New scam ticketing sites

SafeConcerts has warned consumers about two new secondary ticketing websites.

Summertimeball.net purports to be selling tickets to Capital FM’s multi-artist concert at Wembley Stadium on June 6. The site’s terms and conditions page says it’s an ‘independent ticket agency operating in the secondary market specialising in the re-sale of Summertime Ball tickets at premium prices’ and that it is ‘not connected directly with any of the Summertime Ball’s organisers, promoters, acts or sites’.

But according to SafeConcerts, it has an identical format to websites that have taken money and failed to deliver tickets in the past.

SafeConcerts also warns against using bookfestivalsonline.com, which claims to be selling tickets to Reading and Leeds festivals. The site has no website security or validation on card details, leaving users vulnerable to phishing.
