London 2012 media centre

Westminster conference venue, One Great George Street, will operate as a central media facility during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With 250 workspaces, offices for photographers and dedicated dining areas, the venue will be open 24 hours a day, providing journalists with a base in town, in addition to the Main Press Centre and the International Broadcast Centre in the Olympic Park.

“This is a momentous accolade for One Great George Street,” sales and marketing director Wendy Greenhalgh said. “Being selected as the London media centre not only emphasises our location, close to iconic landmarks and many of the Olympic events, but is also a testament to the team here. We are delighted to be involved.”
