Brits bound for The O2

The 2011 Brit Awards looks set to move to the O2 Arena, ahead of the scheduled redevelopment of Earls Court after the Olympics. The nominations for this year’s awards took place at the IndigO2 in January. Jonathan Ross is reported to have been approached to host the event, which is broadcast live on ITV.

“We respect their decision,” a spokeswoman for Earls Court told the Evening Standard. AEG, owner and operator of The O2, has yet to confirm the move.
