Venue IT merges with Etherlive
Telecommunications provider Venue IT has merged with Etherlive to offer a range of services to the event industry.
Founded in 2004, Venue IT counts Southampton Boat Show, the CLA Game Fair, Frieze Art Fair and Goodwood Festival of Speed among its customers.
IT specialist Etherlive has been delivering wi-fi internet connectivity, telephony, laptops and PDQs to the likes of WOMAD, Green Man, Silverstone and the Three Counties Showground since 2007.
“With our strong technology background and Venue IT’s events history and experience, we’re a great fit,” Etherlive managing director Chris Green said. “Having worked together on a number of projects, the most logical step was to join forces. We look forward to delivering solutions that enhance the experience of organisers, exhibitors and visitors at all sorts of events across the UK.”
“This relationship offers our clients the best of both worlds,” Mike Lang, co-owner of Venue IT said. “They will continue to deal with the same people offering the same high level of personal service, and will benefit from increased resources.”
While both brand names are maintained, the new company will be based at Etherlive’s Wiltshire headquarters.
