Labour chooses Brighton for 2013 Conference
VisitBrighton won the bid for Labour's autumn conference in September 2013. Based at the Brighton Centre, subject of a £1m refurbishment programme in 2011, the event will be attended by more than 8,000 delegates and is expected to bring a spend of £20m into the city.
“As a cosmopolitan city with a range of exciting event venues and attractions, the Labour Party will be given a warm welcome," Adam Bates, head of tourism and leisure at Brighton & Hove City Council, said. "We’d like to thank all those who have helped us secure this bid, including the continued support of Trust Reservations."
